Leamington Youth 0 - 4 Rugby Town JFC Youth (Sponsored by Brown & Cockerill)

Rugby Town JFC Youth team swept to a 4-0 win at a rain swept New Windmill Ground last Thursday in a impressive display of attacking football. The home side were undone in a mad 3 minute spell as Town pressed home with 3 goals in as many minutes late in the second the pouring rain the Leamington were forced into early rearguard action as some slick passing moves by Town produced wave after wave of chances on the home goal.on 10 minutes a fabulous through ball from the midfield general Chie Yaum found Dylan Dotshiidey on the edge of the box to slot a cool finish past the advancing keeper to open the scoring. The fine triangular passing and possession enjoyed by the well drilled Rugby team the Leamington were hauling themselves back into the game and went close with shots from oconnor and palmer seeing a shot blocked on the far post in front of the north bank.HT 0-1. Rugby introduced Tia twomey a iively left winger who immediately played a pinpoint pass into dotshiidey that produced a fine save from the brakes keeper from the resultant corner a bizzare incident occurred when twomey chipped the ball over from the bye line, the ball appeared to have hit the bar and gone into the net. Fortunately the assistant ref had been on the line.the ball had apparently gone out and back into play hit the net support behind the goal and somehow rolled across the roof of the net and into the goal!so no goal. Leamington picked up their game following the incident and drew a fine save from Lucas Bailey from a fierce shot from Reece oconnor ,Nathan cory followed up to ram the ball home but was adjudged to be offside.this proved to be the turning point in the game as in the space of 3 minutes the very polished Town side grabbed 3 goals from,Dylan dotshiidey, chai Yaun, and a great solo effort from Kieran Mc Dowel added the forth to round off in Leamingtons words one of the best team performances of any side seen at the New Windmill Ground in a long time.
