In trying conditions, without influential defender Charlie Whittle and with Elijah Robinson injured in the warm up, coming on later to put in a creditable performance, Lions were always up against it.
Despite losing early goals, heads did not drop and Lions controlled much of the game. Harry Marson performed heroics in goal, with George Newbold a powerhouse at the back.
Ollie Broad and Luke Chow excelled in midfield; Aidan Lynch, showing silky skills throughout and ‘fox in the box’ Bobby Linnecor scored the goals.
Leamington won the match, but the lads learnt a lot today and certainly were not losers.
