In what was always going to be one of the toughest tournaments of the season, The Pumas (sponsored by Ideal Factory) entered the SoccerRockz playing against a number of academy sides and the best grassroots teams in the area.

The boys played exceptionally well, drawing to Mount Nod, conceding a lucky rebound, then drawing to the eventual tournament winners A Star Ballerz, whilst also playing some excellent passing and pressing football; then drawing to Birmingham City Academy whilst playing them off the park, and conceding two late goals; finally beating Chapelfield Colts by a significant margin. This resulted in The Pumas being second in our league and playing the other second-placed teams from the other groups (which became the Copa Cup). Unfortunately we were unable to repeat our previous passing football and lost to RB Coaching in the semi-final, but then won our play-off final against a Nottingham Forest Academy side to be 3rd in the Copa Cup. This was a great squad performance and one that the boys should be proud of.

Special mention should go to Charlie Pratt for the way he kept his control and composure against very quick and skilful forwards, Bailey Edgar for some sublime ball control that created a number of goals or scoring opportunities and Alex Wilson who showed his class & skill throughout the day!
