The Pumas entered 2 teams into the Rugby Town Tournament, the latter at short-notice, so despite fielding ineligible players, all 10 of our squad and a few extras enjoyed a day of football in the sunshine, albeit only one team could progress beyond the group stages.

So without any subs The Pumas (known as The Panthers on the day) won their first match again Copsewood Falcons 2-0, their second against Khalsa 1-0, beat Rugby Town Eagles 1-0, City Juniors 2-0 and drew with Hilmorton 0-0.  There were some fantastic individual and team goals scored, with Bailey Edgar turning on the style to score a number of goals, one from the half-way line!

Into the quarter finals, The Pumas faced Southam, and were able to ease past them into the semi-finals where they faced City Juniors again. By now the boys were becoming weary as they had all played 6 matches. The match against City Juniors proved a step too far, and Ollie in goal was beaten by a deflected long-range strike. A fantastic performance from all of the boys, including Charley M, Jamie M and Charlie P, all of whom played for our other team (who were unable to progress), played some great football (including a worldly from Charley M), handled their disappointment and cheered on their team mates into the semi finals.

Well Done Pumas!
