With the pitches in remarkably good condition considering the rain of the previous few days, The Pumas (returning to league action from their extended Easter break) entertained Alvis in what has always been a very tight and competitive match. This match was no exception…

An enthusiastic warm up didn’t result in the start we had hoped, with minds still on chocolate eggs, The Pumas were sluggish at the start and forgetting structure and defensive formations, chased the ball to present Alvis with space, which they took advantage of. This stunned The Pumas and they started to regain their structure, resulting in the ball being played out of defence, a majestic through ball from Giane left Jamie 1 on 1 with the keeper. The rest of the first half ebbed and flowed with both sides creating good scoring chances, and both goalkeepers being called into action.

The second half continued as the first ended, both sides battling hard and working the ball well; a mix up in substitutions, resulted in a break down the right from Alvis.  This brought some determination from The Pumas, who won a free-kick following a quick break, that Charley launched! The Pumas pressed hard on Alvis creating a couple of excellent chances as they dominated the final few minutes.
