The Pumas entertained Christ The King, knowing a win would see them top of their qualifying league and into the semi-final knock-out.

The game started with the Pumas taking early control and they looked comfortable on the ball, keeping it on the ground, playing out from the keeper and defence through moving and passing. This worked really well and created some early chances.

Christ The King were also matching The Pumas, keeping pressure on Ollie in the Puma’s goal. The deadlock was broken through excellent inter-play between Alex Duffy and Charley Burton, with Charley slotting it past their keeper.

The lead was then extended as Jamie Morrison managed to squeeze the ball between keeper and post following solid defence & excellent passing from Giane out from the back to Alex Wilson on the right.

The second half saw a period when the Pumas dominated, with additional goals coming from Charley, both Alex’s and Jamie, whilst Christ the King managed a consolation goal minutes before the end.

The Pumas are successfully through to the knock-out stages and host Firefighters on Sunday at Kilsby Lane.
