On what may have been the last sunny day of the season, Rugby Town U9 Pumas hosted Dunlop Reds in the first of our trophy matches.

The match was well supported as always and the crowd were entertained with good passing between midfield and forwards, which resulted in an early lead being taken by The Pumas. Dunlop contested well throughout the match and brought The Pumas substitute keeper Jamie Morrison into action on several occasions forcing some excellent saves.

As The Pumas settled into the match they improved the way they passed and moved the ball from defence into attack and were rewarded with some excellent team goals, something that we’ve been working on at training!

The second half took a similar pattern, both sides competing well for the ball with excellent pressure & passing from The Pumas, congratulations to goal scorers Charley Burton, Alex Wilson, Alex Duffy and Bailey Edgar.
