The year had started badly with a 13-2 drubbing in the torrential rain at Long Buckby, and the frustrating slow start of the season due to cancellations.
Finally we built up a head of steam, and in a purple patch in October/November we gained revenge over Long Buckby, but lost 2 nail biters to Royce Rangers and Market Harbrough.
But come the middle of December the team seemed to fall apart a bit. A dreadful performance against Market Harborough was followed up by an even worse first half against bottom team Oadby Owls that saw us 2-0 down, dead and buried, our season in tatters.
But the boys dug deep, showed character and resolve and in the end won that game 4-2 and continued to win every game after, all in style and with aplomb.
By the end of the season (and undefeated in 2010) we came second in the League, a great achievement.
